Your Role as an Operations Forester:

Reporting to the Woodyard/Raw Material Manager, your role will be to assist the team in meeting department objectives in the areas of health and safety, performance, environmental compliance, and cost while at the same time manage processes to enhance wood quality

More specifically, you will:

    Manage the planning, procurement, and administration of fiber supply agreements

    Work closely with the Woodyard and Fiberline to develop, implement and manage processes to improve wood yield and eliminate waste

    Oversee an incoming inspection program of fiber supply to include load validation process

    Assist the department in maintaining FSC, SFI, and PEFC certifications for wood fiber supply

    Develop competency with our LIMS supplier payment and fiber tracking software

    Partner with the Woodyard Assistant Superintendent to ensure a safe and efficient operation

    Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of on-site fiber inventory

    Work in conjunction with Accounting Department on weekly and month-end closing process

    Assist with the day-to-day fiber deliveries

    Oversight of records management/requirements

    Collaborate with other team members for cross-functional training/knowledge

    Position will support and backfill for the Assistant Superintendent of Woodyard Operations
