Job Description:

The Operations Specialist plays a critical role in helping the Division transition to the Future of Work and strengthen its overall operations by leading high-priority technology and operations projects. Projects may include but are not limited to the development and user support of digital tools (i.e. databases for tracking ecological restoration project data; tools that integrate budgeting across projects, programs, and the Division); building internal knowledge sharing capacity; and developing internal controls and standard operating procedures for the Division. The position requires strong leadership, organization, and collaboration skills. The position reports to the Assistant Director of Operations and supervises staff and contractors as appropriate. The Operations Specialist liaises with Department of Fish and Game (DFG) staff including the Chief of Staff, Chief Financial Officer, Budget Director, Information Technology Coordinator, and others at the Department level on many of these activities.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have at least (A) four years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience in work simplification, management analysis, program analysis, methods analysis, economic analysis, fiscal analysis, financial analysis, budget analysis, program administration, or program management or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions listed in the job posting.
