Job Description:

The purpose of this position includes greeting and providing park information to the general public, and assisting in the maintenance, inspections, enforcement, operations, programs, office tasks, light cleaning, and other areas assigned in either a park or facility.

 

Qualifications:

Individuals should be able to perform light maintenance (use small tools, repair pvc plumbing, garden tools, chainsaw, blower, weedeater, drive a Gator/ATV), trail maintenance, exhibit repairs, event/project assistance, facility operations, and assist with facility programming.

Performs park improvement and repair projects, including exhibit repairs.Performs mowing, blowing, trimming, edging, cutting, pruning and cleaning of facilities.Uses small tools, including a chainsaw, to perform maintenance activities.Controls weeds, kudzu, privet and other invasive vegetation. Assists with animal care duties, including working with live reptiles.

 

Miscellaneous:

12 hours per week, Tuesday-Saturday, 8:30am-5:30pm, occasional evening or Sunday work with notice

Salary:
$15.60/hour, 12 hours per week.
