Strom Thurmond Dam and Lake, the largest Corps water resources development project constructed east of the Mississippi, that includes among authorized purposes, a mission to manage and conserve park and natural resources, consistent with ecosystem principles, while providing quality sustainable public outdoor recreation experiences. Performs a wide variety of assignments involving all aspects of park operations including Recreation, Contract Administration, Environmental Stewardship, Environmental Compliance, Visitor Assistance and Services, and Interpretation. Participates in the conservation, preservation, restoration and use of project natural and cultural resources by managing programs that can include campground management, user fee collections, water safety outreach, and volunteer management. Patrols project lands and waters to prevent unauthorized use, trespass, destruction of property, and to insure compliance with rules and regulations, and protection of project land, water, facilities and other environmental resources. Qualifications: Conditions of Employment A trial or probationary period may be required in accordance with agency policy.
