Harris County, Georgia, with a population of 36,000 and located in west central Georgia along the Alabama border 60 minutes southwest of Atlanta and 30 minutes north of Columbus, is accepting applications for a full-time Parks Maintenance Technician for the Recreation Department, working Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.

HSD or GED; moderate experience in the performance of general maintenance, grounds keeping, or parks maintenance work, or related field, with supervisory experience preferred. Position is under the direction of the Recreation Director; duties include performing grounds maintenance on recreation parks and athletic fields to include mowing, application of chemicals for weed control, cleaning restrooms and buildings, disposing of trash; work is performed in an open environment subject to inclement weather. Must possess valid driver's license and State of Georgia Correctional Officer I Certification at minimum security or ability to obtain same within six months of hire to supervise and work with inmates.
