Portfolio Analyst

Employer
Green Diamond Shared Services, LLC
Job Description, Responsibilities and Required Qualifications or Skills

This position is primarily Seattle-based, with an expectation of meaningful time spent collaborating in person. Flexible work arrangements, including hybrid or work-from-home schedules, may be available.

About the Role
We are seeking a Portfolio Analyst to serve as a trusted bridge between Green Diamond and its external investors, partners, and fiduciaries. This role is central to how portfolio performance, valuation, and strategy are communicated – bringing clarity, consistency, and confidence to investor-facing reporting and oversight.

The Portfolio Analyst works at the intersection of operations, finance, valuation, and governance, translating complex forestry and financial information into clear, well-supported portfolio-level insights. With regular exposure to senior leadership, fiduciaries, and third-party advisors, this role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytically strong professional who values transparency, disciplined reporting, and high standards of accuracy.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Green Diamond and external investors, partners, or fiduciaries, ensuring clear, timely, and consistent communication.
  • Coordinate investor and fiduciary inquiries, reviews, and information requests, partnering with internal teams to deliver accurate and well-supported responses.
  • Prepare and deliver periodic reporting, including quarterly and annual reports, valuations, and performance analyses in accordance with governing documents.
  • Coordinate inputs across operations, finance, accounting, legal, and external service providers to support high-quality portfolio reporting.
  • Partner with operational leadership to develop forecasts and outlook reporting, translating operational plans into portfolio-level insights.
  • Support valuation and appraisal processes by coordinating inputs, reviewing assumptions, and summarizing key valuation drivers and changes.
  • Maintain clear documentation of assumptions, methodologies, and changes underlying reported information and valuations.
  • Ensure consistency and integrity of portfolio-level data across investor reporting, internal materials, audits, and fiduciary reviews.
  • Support transactions, amendments, and special analyses by organizing and synthesizing historical and current portfolio information.
  • Act as a steward of portfolio information, promoting disciplined processes, transparency, and accountability.

What You’ll Bring

You bring a bachelor’s degree in finance, forestry, real estate, economics, natural resources, or a related field, with an advanced degree or professional designation such as an MBA, CFA, or CAIA preferred. You have 5+ years of experience in timberland investments, real assets, portfolio reporting, fiduciary reporting, and/or investor relations, along with strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including advanced Excel proficiency. You are comfortable reviewing discounted cash flow models and third-party appraisals and can clearly explain financial and valuation concepts to senior stakeholders. You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a high attention to detail, and strong organizational discipline. You exercise sound judgement, discretion, and integrity in handling sensitive fiduciary information and are able to work independently while coordinating effectively across multiple internal and external partners.
