Job Description:

I am looking for an ecological modeler to join our plant and microbial ecology group as a postdoctoral researcher starting August 2024. This project is funded by the NSF, and investigates mechanisms underlying the role of microbes in shrubland-grassland ecotonal dynamics. The prospective postdoc will lead the development of spatially-explicit models of plant-plant interactions, plant-microbe interactions, and plant-soil feedbacks. There is also potential to pursue independent projects under the general umbrella of: the ecology of plant-soil feedbacks and plant-microbe interactions, competition and coexistence, and effects of climate variability and elevated CO2 on plants and microbes.
