Qualifications:

Research Scholar applicants must have completed all the requirements for their doctoral program (PhD or equivalent), with demonstrated research accomplishments and publications in the primary research literature. Applicants should have the necessary skills and experience with decision analysis and modeling animal populations and their habitats, with  interest and capabilities in applying the results to decision making. Excellent command of the English language, quantitative analytical skills, and written and verbal communication skills are absolutely required. Special consideration will be given to candidates possessing one or more of the following knowledge and skills: dynamic optimization and integrated Bayesian modeling techniques. We will also consider applicants with MS degree (or equivalent) with a strong, demonstrated background in natural resource management decision modeling for a research associate position. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. James Peterson in close collaboration with Dr. Adam Duarte and the US Forest Service Pacific Northwest Research Station.

Miscellaneous:

Appointment: Appointments will be intended for a term of one (1) year, with the possibility for renewal of an additional year based upon a satisfactory performance review. Salary ($53,000-57,000) and full benefits will be commensurate with qualifications of the successful applicants. Start date is negotiable but no later than March 2024 and preferably by January 2024.
