Job Description:

Ocean Associates, Inc. (OAI) is seeking a candidate to provide program management support to the NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Office of Protected Resources (OPR) in Silver Spring, MD. OAI conducts research, offers policy advice, and provides personnel support services to government and industry clients for marine fisheries and protected species.

 

Duties:

 

Assisting in the preparation of technical guidance documents and reports related to the conservation and recovery of ESA-listed species as part of fire management and restoration under a Framework Agreement among the Forest Service, National Marine Fisheries Service, and the Fish and Wildlife Service.

Assisting in the development of funding estimates based on estimated staff workload and planning for future workload and funding.

Assisting in tracking budget, spending, workload, and tasks under the Framework Agreement.

Assisting in the planning and facilitating of Framework Agreement coordination meetings.

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge and Experience

 

Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related work experience.

Knowledge and training in environmental regulations, particularly Federal regulations like the Endangered Species Act.

Project management, including the practice, methods, and techniques to plan and monitor projects in order to administer a program.

Strong writing and communication skills.

Budget management and reporting.

Planning and facilitating meetings.

Ability to work effectively both individually and collaboratively in a team/group setting.

Ability to receive constructive feedback and implement appropriate action.
