Job Description:

We are looking for candidates to staff a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers levee reconstruction and re-vegetation project in Northwestern Missouri and Southwestern Iowa. Work will consist of installing erosion control practices on a federally funded levee reconstruction project. This is a seasonal position with new hires starting immediately and employment ending on or before September 2, 2022. Reporting location for work will be Hamburg, Iowa.

Once hired you will be responsible for working with a team to meet daily production standards set forth by the project manager.

Job specific training will be provided for those without applicable experience.

Qualifications:

Proof of United States citizenship will be required. Reliable transportation to and from company headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri is absolutely required. You must be able to work in a multitude of conditions including rough terrain and extreme temperatures. Being on your feet for long periods of time will be required. You must be able to pass a pre-employment fit test and attend a two day orientation in St. Louis, Missouri. Safety-toed boots and long pants are required. Lodging and per diem during applicant suitability determination will be provided.

Salary:
$36.92/hour with overtime after 40 hours. 60+ hours expected weekly.
Benefits:

Work will be six days a week typically from 6:00AM to 6:00PM, weather permitting. Daily per diem of $30.00/night and lodging will be provided seven days a week. DJM will not provide hourly monetary compensation due to loss of hours incurred by inclement weather. All equipment necessary to perform work will be provided. Unpaid time off with advanced notice will be assessed by the project manager on a case-by-case basis.
