We are currently seeking a full-time Project Forester in or around NW Wisconsin or Duluth MN area. This is considered a mid-level position with a focus on project management.WHAT YOU WILL DOThis position resides in our Land and Resource Management Division and will support daily operations and projects in the Forest Operations, Environmental, and Tree Farm departments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Project planning and schedulingProject staff coordinationProject component reportingDevelop and implement site specific timber management prescriptionsDevelop and follow project budgetsPrimary client contract for forest management projectsReforestation supervision and administrationField lead for ForestersHarvest boundary research and delineation, technical skill with sub-meter GPS unitTimber sale marking, setup, and establishment following site-specific prescriptions on all timber types common to Lake StatesInventory data collection with necessary level of speed and precision dependent upon project requirementsVegetation sampling - Identification of all plants and trees within sample plot areaOther duties as assignedWHO YOU AREYou are a supportive and reliable team member that engages in building a great team and work culture. Due to the nature of the team approach to our field work and needed access to equipment and company vehicles, the Project Forester position is considered a remote position with travel to the office locations on an as needed basis. The position is roughly 80 percent field work and 20 percent office work. COMPENSATIONSalary commensurate with experience.POSTING DATE March 7, 2025. Position will be filled within one to three months. Interviews will be scheduled throughout this time period. Expected start is May 2025, dependent upon candidate availability.
