Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever
Job Description, Responsibilities and Required Qualifications or Skills

About Us:
Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever is the nation’s leading upland wildlife habitat conservation organization. Driven by a powerful grassroots model, we empower local volunteers to deliver meaningful, on-the-ground conservation — for wildlife, for hunting heritage, and for the landscapes we love.

Whether it’s building habitat, expanding public access, advocating for conservation, or are passionate about the upland conservation community, we operate where conservation and community meet. If you thrive on bringing people together to make a difference — then you belong with us.

About the Role:
As the Southwest Regional Representative, you’ll be the face of Quail Forever and Pheasants Forever in a region steeped in upland tradition. You’ll strengthen and grow a dynamic network of local chapters and volunteers dedicated to creating lasting conservation impact in their communities and beyond. You’ll lead the charge in:

  • Supporting and energizing chapter leaders
  • Elevating local fundraising events
  • Growing membership and mission delivery
  • Partnering with our Development Team to connect with conservation-minded donors

This is a people-first, impact-focused role for someone who understands that conservation success starts with strong relationships — and that our mission is strategic and unwavering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and inspire QF & PF chapters to grow membership, support state and national programs, and deliver local habitat, education, and outreach efforts.
  • Help chapters plan and execute impactful and innovative fundraising events.
  • Launch new chapters and reinvigorate existing ones by developing strong volunteer leadership teams.
  • Coordinate with Development staff to cultivate donors and partners.
  • Keep chapter leaders engaged through regular, motivational communication.
  • Organize and lead regional and statewide chapter meetings.
  • Collaborate with peers across departments to deliver a unified conservation message to our volunteer base.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, wildlife conservation, education, or a related field
  • Experience of collaborating with volunteers, nonprofit boards, or grassroots campaigns preferred.
  • Deep understanding of QF & PF’s mission and model
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — you’re a connector and a motivator
  • Organized and self-driven, able to manage multiple projects across a broad geography.
  • Comfortable using technology to support day-to-day work, troubleshoot issues for chapters, and clearly explain systems and processes to volunteers.
  • Passion for conservation, the uplands, and the hunting community
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, California and Nevada.
