May 31-July 22. Eight weeks of summer day camp employement, 40 hours per week. Staff works in an outdoor recreation & environmental education based camp at Sandy Creek Park & Sandy Creek Nature Center. Lead campers in activities including canoeing, archery, hiking, live animal programs, and more. Teen Camp Supervisor leads teens in a mobile program visiting area parks, trails, and outdoor experiences. Lakefront Lifeguard manages swimming, canoeing, and kayaking on Lake Chapman. Qualifications: All applicants must be 18 years or older. Directors & Teen Camp supervisor 21 or older is preferred. Minimum Training & Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions Six months of experience working with children in a camp, daycare, or other recreational settings where child supervision was required; OR one full season of day camp experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess current first aid and CPR by start of camp. Training is provided. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
