SEAFWA’s Conservation Access, Relevancy and Engagement (C.A.R.E.) Committee invites interested college students or recent graduates pursuing a career in the natural resources or conservation related field (including but not limited to wildlife conservation, game management, community engagement, law enforcement, etc.) to apply for C.A.R.E. scholarships to attend this year’s SEAFWA Conference for free. Scholarship winners will participate in the C.A.R.E. Fellow Workshop which introduces soft skills such as networking, elevator speeches, resume writing, etc. Fellows will also participate in a Careers in Conservation panel and an agency round table where they will gain insight on employment opportunities and network with professionals from SEAFWA’s fifteen member states, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, and attending federal agencies. Although not required, fellows are encouraged to present a poster or do an oral presentation at SEAFWA. Abstracts will open by the end of May. View the SEAFWA website here for more details.
