Wildlife Technician - Seasonal

As an entry-level technician, this position assists the permanent staff supporting the Westervelt Lodge activities, including, but not limited to, guest hospitality, hunts, processing wild game and maintaining and repairing equipment as necessary.

We are searching for a Wildlife Technician - Seasonal at Westervelt Lodge in Aliceville, AL.  

The ideal candidate will be a December graduate needing wildlife/recreation experience in order to build their resume for their next level professional role.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 
-Take Westervelt Lodge guests out on White-tailed deer and Wingshooting hunts.
-Keep Lodge stocked with firewood.
-Drive and back up a truck and trailer rig.
-Manage and care for Lodge hunting dogs.
-Retrieve wild game for Lodge guests.
-Clean, dress and package wild game for Lodge guests.
-Maintain and repair equipment as necessary.
-Perform job duties and provide a memorable guest experience for guests without prompting from management.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Management preferred; job experience can be substituted for education

  • 3 to 4 years relevant experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Strong work ethic
  • Good customer service skills
  • Seasonal assignment 12/15/24 - 3/10/25
