Job Description:

The candidate will be responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the Yadkin Ridge property. The creation and completion of tasks concerning all aspects of wildlife with a focus on game species management at Yadkin Ridge. Must be willing to act as channel of auxiliary support in all aspects of the property's upkeep. This individual will be expected to perform tasks in the field and with a willingness to travel between locations. Above all, this position must maintain a steady line of communication between both peers and superiors. As Yadkin Ridge Ranch Operations Manager, job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

 

• Oversee all daily operations of property with a high attention to detail

• Communicate and delegate effectively to 6 direct reports

• Prepares for and facilitates deer, quail, turkey, dove and duck hunts for owners and guests ensuring safety measures are adhered to

• Supplemental feeding of quail and deer

• Game camera and photo inventory management

• Deer stand setup and maintenance

• Deer harvesting, processing and data record keeping

• Tractor operation including mowing, disking, planting, fertilizing, liming, etc.

• Assist with controlled burn planning and execution

• Trapping of furbearers

• Fisheries management

• Pesticide use under Licensed Private Applicator’s supervision

Qualifications:

• High school graduate and/or equivalent of education and experience required.

• Experience: 5+ years wildlife management

• Preferred background in recreational hunting tract management and agriculture

• High knowledge of firearm safety. Basic knowledge of first aid.

• Skills: Highly effective interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities and advanced communication skills a plus.

• Personality: Must be able to effectively interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented with good reasoning skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word and ability to navigate digital maps.
