Job Description:
  • Lead efforts to implement priority Motus Wildlife Tracking System expansion across the Southeast, including the installation of at least 35 new Motus station and upgrades of at least 20 existing stations
  • Provide technical assistance to Southeastern partners, including but not limited to: equipment needs and set up, maintenance, troubleshooting, data analysis, providing station installation workshops for partners throughout the year, etc.
  • Participate in regular meetings across the partnership to ensure effective information sharing and organization
  • Implement a plan for infrastructure scouting, permitting, securing landowner agreements, siting, installation, and maintenance
  • Represent the Southeast effort at grant-related and Motus coordinator meetings.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with all of the stakeholders, partners, and funders in the Southeast including federal, tribal and state agencies, universities, corporations, and other conservation organizations to advance bird conservation using Motus technology
  • Frequent travel as needed to assist with station installations, workshops, meetings, etc.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain documentation of grant expenditures 
Salary:
$50,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience
