Summer Intern - Non-native Catfish Removal on the Satilla River, GA

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division, Fisheries Management Section, is looking to hire up to 2 summer interns to assist in removing non-native catfish (flathead and blue catfish) from the Satilla River.  The positions will begin early/mid-May and interns may work up to 40 hours/week.  These positions are HEAVILY FIELD-ORIENTED, and thus candidates will need to be able to work under adverse conditions (extreme heat; low water levels; carrying heavy objects >50lbs; etc.) during extended hours.  The positions will be located in Waycross, and housing may be available. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Candidates must be able to work outside in the heat and lift heavy objects; have a valid driver’s license; be at least 18 years old; and be authorized to work in the USA.
