Job Description:

GFA’s Forest Policy and Economics summer intern will:

» Lead a focus project involving research and a final presentation related to Georgia’s forest policy or economy. The project will be determined on the intern’s skills, interests and the needs of the Association.

» Assist GFA’s Vice President of Government Affairs on short-term projects related to policy and advocacy

» Assist with GFA’s Annual Conference at Jekyll Island, GA July 28-30)

» Assist with day-to-day operations of the Association

» A limited amount of travel (in/out of state) may be required

Miscellaneous:

Office hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday. (Annual Conference hours are an exception to this schedule).

Salary:
Pay $17.00/hour -depending on skill level and applicable experience. No overtime, benefits
or holiday pay. Must provide own housing and have reliable transportation.
