Deadline: Mon, 04/29/2024 - 12:00pm Employer: DNR Job Field: Fisheries Job Type: Seasonal, Temporary, Internship Location: Georgia Location Detail: Waycross, Georgia Job Description: The Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division, Fisheries Management Section, is looking to hire 2 summer interns to assist in removing non-native catfish (flathead and blue catfish) from the Satilla River. The positions will begin early/mid-May and interns may work up to 40 hours/week until, but not after, September. These positions are HEAVILY FIELD-ORIENTED, and thus candidates will need to be able to work sometimes under adverse conditions (high heat and humidity; low water levels; lifting heavy objects >50lbs; etc.). This position’s workday will usually start from 6 am - 6:30 am.
