Deadline: Tue, 06/13/2023 - 12:00pm Employer: Warnell-Research Job Field: Other Job Type: Seasonal, Temporary, Internship Location: Georgia Location Detail: Athens Job Description: Duties and Responsibilities: 1 Assist with Orientation Outreach (i.e. assist with orientation resource fairs, etc.) Percentage of time 50 2 Assist with meetings for prospective students and lead tours of Warnell/Whitehall Forest Percentage of time 25 3 Prepare orientation, prospective student, and other recruitment and outreach materials Percentage of time 20 4 Assist Warnell’s Undergraduate Student Recruitment & Outreach Coordinator with additional tasks as needed Percentage of time 5 Qualifications: Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position Rising second-year student or higher with Warnell specific knowledge Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Student will be admitted to Warnell professional program or will be eligible to begin Warnell professional program during 2023-2024 academic year. Ability to work independently and multitask. Willingness to learn and share information about all Warnell undergraduate academic programs. Uses good communication skills and is energetic, trustworthy, and enthusiastic. Physical Demands Is driving a requirement of this position? Ability to lift 20 lbs. and to transport equipment to and from on-campus events and activities. May also transport herpetology animal(s) to and from events. Driving as needed to perform job duties.
