As a timber cruiser you will be responsible for collecting forest inventory data to estimate the volume and value of standing timber. Responsibilities: *Conducting forest inventory cruises in accordance with industry standards and protocols *Measuring and estimating volume and value of standing timber *Recording data accurately and completely using handheld electronic devices *Using GPS and maps to navigate *Conducting quality control checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness *Adhering to safety protocols and procedures at all times Requirements: *Some education and or experience in forestry or related field *Ability to navigate forest terrain and work in adverse weather conditions *Proficient in use of handheld electronic devices and GPS technology *Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Hourly- $20.00- $25.00 based on knowledge and experience Salary- $40k-$48k based on knowledge and experience PTIS is committed to providing a safe and positive work environment for all employees.
