Timberland Appraiser Trainee

As a Timberland Appraiser Trainee, you will join MB&G's valuation services business providing first-class service to a wide variety of clients including TIMOs, REITs, publicly and privately held corporations, family estates, conservation organizations, public agencies, and others. MB&G will pair you with a supervisory appraiser and support you as you complete the qualifying education and experience requirements toward earning licensure as a state certified general real estate appraiser, at which time you will be promoted to Appraiser.

Appraisal work encompasses an understanding of all aspects of commercial real estate appraisal methodology as well as a knowledge of timberland investment, forest economics and finance, mensuration, forest modeling, and forest operations. In addition to appraisal work, you may support acquisition/divestiture due diligence projects, forest planning projects, market studies, and economic analyses.
