Position Summary: The Fisheries and Wildlife Science Program invites applications for Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor in the Department of Biological Sciences. We are seeking a broadly trained wildlife or fisheries scientist to fill a 9-month teaching position. Our Program consists of five faculty that advise and administer B.S and M.S. degrees in Fisheries and Wildlife Science. Our curriculum aims to create potential Fisheries and/or Wildlife Scientists that are employable in the public and private sector and are able to pursue advanced degrees. Our B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Science currently instructs approximately 100 majors while our small but vibrant M.S. degree has approximately 12 students pursuing thesis and non-thesis-based degrees. Applicants must hold an earned Ph.D. in Fisheries or Wildlife Science or a closely related field (Visiting Assistant Professor) or an MS (Visiting Instructor). Position start date is August 10, 2023. Required qualifications: Earned Ph.D. in Fisheries or Wildlife Science or related field from a regionally accredited institution by the start date (August 10, 2023) or an earned MS in Fisheries or Wildlife Science.
