Each semester, the successful candidate will teach two lecture sections and the accompanying laboratories, or the equivalent, of introductory biology courses for majors and non-majors within a shared curriculum. We seek candidates to join our vibrant campus who have a commitment to teaching and mentoring a diverse population of motivated first- and second-year undergraduates in a residential liberal arts environment. Oxford’s science facility, which opened in 2016, is intentionally designed to promote student-faculty collaboration, scholarship, and innovative teaching in STEM to support our programs. This position offers a great opportunity for candidates seeking teaching experience at a primarily undergraduate campus. Qualifications: Required A Master’s degree in biology or subdiscipline or at least 18 hours of graduate credit coursework towards a doctorate in biology, including subdisciplines. Desirable A Ph.D. in biology or a sub-discipline, completed by August 2024. Candidates with some prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level is a plus.
