WWOA publishes a quarterly magazine and weekly email messages, maintains a website and Facebook pages, and hosts chapter field days, regional winter workshops, and statewide conferences for woodland owners. The Volunteer Coordinator will work with WWOA staff to help build volunteer capacity by managing our volunteer program. Position includes contacting potential volunteers, promoting volunteer opportunities, placement and training of volunteers who help WWOA accomplish our mission. Qualifications: Volunteer Wisconsin AmeriCorps member positions must be willing to serve for the full duration of the term of service (1700 hours minimum), averaging approximately 35- 40 hours a week. Position runs from September 2023 - August 2024 Members must also be able to handle the financial commitment made by accepting the position. Applicants must be 21 years of age Possess at least a high school diploma or GED/HSED Agree to criminal background checks and Department of Motor Vehicles check. Miscellaneous: Preferred skills include Interest in natural resources, working with landowners, ability to work independently Good people skills Good writing skills Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Word Press software is helpful. Prefer technical school or college degree.
