This position will catalog and develop fire prevention plans and activities with an overarching goal of reducing wildfires due to human causes. This position will work with fire investigation, communications, community wildfire preparedness, policy, and other wildfire prevention professionals throughout Washington and the Pacific Northwest to identify and implement actions to reduce human caused wildfires.Responsibilities:This position will work with DNR Regional and Division staff to audit and document fire prevention activities currently being conducted around the state, along with any associated plans and defined programs of work related to fire prevention. This includes working with the fire investigation program to identify improvement points in that program.The information collected in the audits will be used to develop recommendations for statewide fire prevention and public use restriction plans.
